Sapa Cycling half day Tour
The Cycling Sapa half day tour takes you to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages where you will meet up with local Giay and Black H’mong people. The bicycle tour begins in Sapa town as you start your bike ride from your hotel in Sapa. The cycling route goes mostly downhill until you reach the Lao chai village. Some stops are also planned on the way. So you can take picture of the beautiful Muong Hoa valley, paddy fields. We use good mountain bikes at 24 speeds such as trek bikes or giant. The tour can be extended to one day with one more bicycle ride to Su Phan or Giang Ta Chai villages. You can also bike further to Ban Ho village, inhabited by the Tay people.
8:00: You will be met up with Sapa Biking Tours guide at your hotel in Sapa. You head out from Sapa by going downhill to the villages. The ride takes you into one of the most beautiful valleys of the area, the Muong Hoa valley, Lao Chai village. Lao Chai is a village of black H’Mong ethnic group. Located 7 Kms from Sapa, it is quite approachable from Sapa for a travelers who do not have much time. In this village which you will have a welcome feeling at any house of the hospitable people there.
From Lao Chai you turn in a dirt trail, which sneaks through rice paddy terraces and villages, home to different hill tribes such as Black Hmong, Giay, Ta Van village.
You will have time to stop by a local house as well as enjoy excellent views over huge rice paddy terraces. You will later arrive in Tavan. Ta Van is located in Vietnam in the northern province of Lao Cai, about 5 kilometres from Sapa, at an altitude of 1, 816 meters. This province borders the province of Yunnan in south-west China. Also located in the valley of Muong Hoa, Ta van is a village of Giay people, who look more like the traditional Viet living the Red delta. This village is normally a combination in the visit to Lao chai village on the bicycle ride or trek to Muong Hoa valley. It is also a popular stop for those who would like to experience an overnight home stay with a family of Giay people here, sharing dinner with them as a member of their family. Ta Van is a small village set within a picturesque valley not far from the northern Vietnamese mountain resort of Sa Pa. The area is renowned for its colourful ethnic minorities, and Ta Van is home to two such groups. A stay with one of the farmer families here will give you a close-up experience of the life-style and culture typical of the area.
Picked up at Ta Van village and brought back to Sapa. Arrive back to Sapa around noon. End of Sapa Biking Tours service.
