Ninh Binh Cycling in Tam Coc 1day

The one-day Tam Coc Bike tour takes you to the countryside of the northern Vietnam, Tam Coc, Hoa Lu, Bich Dong, Thai vy, Ninh Binh where you enjoy cycling on paved roads, through rice fields and countryside villages. You mostly cycle on the back roads where the traffic is less busy. There are about two hours cycling on flat roads from the Dinh Le temples, Hoa Lu to Tam Coc, “Halong bay inland” before you have lunch and then take the sampan cruise tour on Ngo Dong river. The cycling duration can be longer or shorter upon request since the tour is provided on private basis. The day bike tour is ideal for amateur cyclists, small group tours and family travel.

7.30 AM: You will be met up with Vietnam Bike Tours guide, driver at your hotel in Hanoi (Please advise your hotel contact details).

Head south for the three-hour drive along Highway One.

Upon your arrival in Hoa Lu around 10:00, visit the Dinh and Le sanctuaries. These are the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. The first is dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang (also known as Dinh Bo Linh), an Emperor from the Dinh Dynasty. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty.

After visiting these two temples, you will move on to Tam Coc enjoying cycling through rice fields and peaceful countryside villages.

Optional stop can be made on the way, in Hang Mua where you spend about one hour climbing up to the summit of the Hang Mua mountain to enjoy the beautiful view over Tam Coc and the surroundings.

Continue cycling until you arrive Tam Coc, in time for lunch, provided in a local restaurant (included).

After lunch, take a three-hour boat trip along the Boi River. This area is rightly often referred to as the “Ha Long Bay on land” due to the similar topography.

Return back to Hanoi at 17:00. Trip ends.
