Hanoi Weekend Bike Ride Tour, TLV Bike Tours best bike tour which is arranged on every Saturday morning in the outskirts of Hanoi. The tour is open for anyone who wants to participate and it aims to gather the local cycling population in Hanoi. Joining the tour, you shall get a good grasp of how local people’s lives unfold – from farmers working on their fields and gardens to children riding a bicycle to school, planting vegetable and even daily chores. Along the bike ride, you also learn much knowledge about local history, culture, believes, relationship are well reflected by visiting or passing by pagodas, temples and shrines.

The tour starts with a transfer from your hotel to our bike garage to get to our bike garage

Arriving at our bike garage, the guide will give a short briefing about the bikes such as how to change the speed gear, how to cross the street with a bike… He also gives useful information about the biking trail.

Take your bikes and enjoy some test ride before starting your day ride.

You follow the back roads, cycling along the Red River for about ten minutes before making your first stop at a communal house. The communal house, known as an ancient temple in the 17th century, was built to the north of the village near the dyke of the Red River. In 1635, it was restored and expanded to worship three spirits, including Thien Than, Dia Than and Nhan Than.

After visiting the communal house, you keep cycling along the Red River dyke, crossing the river, arriving in a rural village of Hanoi. You follow small alleys, cycling through the village, finding yourselves in a immense field of vegetable, fruit trees and flowers. This rural village is considered as the oldest flower village in the suburban area. The village was formed about 10 years ago. The most popular flowers in this area are rose, gerbera and lily.

A stop will be made en route for you to take picture. The guide will let you know then how these flowers and vegetable are grown.

Keep biking for around 15 kilometers southwest through Yea No et Thu Ca where two more stops may be made for visiting local pagoda and short break. Opportunity to meet up with local villagers who are surprised to see a foreigners.

The bike ride finishes around noon in Quarter 8 where your lunch is provided in a local restaurant. Enjoy some fresh local beer before beeing picked up again and transferred back to your hotel.
