Bac Ha to Hoang Su Phi Best Mountain Bike Tour 10days

Destinations cycling route: Lao Cai – Bac Ha – Coc Phai – Hoang Su Phi – Thong nguyen – Luc Yen – Vu linh – HN

Trip highlight:

The hilltribes of Northern Vietnam are now so iconic and have been featured photographically in so many instances, that you may feel already somewhat familiar with them, but the truth is that those tribes, still living in their traditional ways, exist only in the most remote areas of South East Asia, and Ha Giang Province, open only relatively recently to travellers, is without doubt one of the best places left to witness the culture of these people.

This unspoilt, sparsely populated region is home to a staggering variety of hilltribes, many of whom don’t even communicate in the national language and who live by their traditional, subsistence farming ways.

The riding is some of the most amazing in South East Asia. Every day offers a different terrain, gradient, vista and climate as we climb and descent the various altitudes of the Ha Giang Plateau. This is a ride to remember and if the memory of burning leg muscles aren’t enough to remember it by, then your amazing photographs almost certainly will be.

Terrain:  Undulating road. Relatively ascending and steep pass
Health request: Good health. Fitness

I have been on several trips before but I rate this one the best ever. It was well run the hotels and guest houses were clean and very welcoming. Vietnam has to be one of the cheapest places to visit in the world, the food was great and the beer is cheaper than water. The people are the most friendliest I’ve ever met and the women are the prettiest. The views were spectacular and the cycling was hard but we all made it. I’m now looking forward for my next trip with TLV Bike Tours to Laos

A fantastic trip in all aspects! As a veteran of ten guided cycling trips so far with several tour companies, I can attest that IET Vietnam Bike Tours certainly has it’s act well together. There were rarely any issues or unexpected changes in the trip; and when they did occur on occasion, the guides and staff adjusted accordingly without any problems. The concern and attention for the riders by the staff was always apparent, and the smiles and helpfulness of Mr. Nam were always such a pleasure. Even during the rest days, Mr. Nam was always present to accommodate us with any and every detail. Mr. Kien’s bikes were first class as well! The riding was at times very challenging, but the payoff was cycling through incredible scenery and fascinating villages, with a true sense of accomplishment culminating each day. I can heartily recommend this trip to anyone wishing to see rural Vietnam up close on two wheels!

I enjoyed the whole trip.
I have booked several organized roundtrips but I have never felt so comfortable as in this one. The member of our tour were very friendly (participants and guides). I was also impressed about the kindness of the local people.

This trip was brilliant! I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved getting out into the countryside and away from the usual hustle and bustle of Vietnam.
The home stays were excellent in terms of quality of accommodation as well as food

In summary, the tour exceeded all expectations, especially the scenery and people along the country roads. We really enjoyed the chance to interact with the locals.
The physical challenge of cycling through has been rewarding. Many thanks to Kien, for the logistics and for the delicious meals he prepared along the road, and the driver, who picked us up with the van wherever we stopped at the end of every cycling day.
