Day 1: Hanoi Arrival:
Welcome to Vietnam. Arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, IET Tours guide and driver will greet and pick you up to the hotel at the heart of Hanoi capital. Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau ( L,D)
Leave at 7h30. we drive Southwest to Luong Son. The gateway to the outstsanding mountainous area of northern Vietnam, upon arrival Luong son, we start riding through on undulating tarmac road with
stunning view of mountain, valleys, sugarcane farms and rice paddies. We would have a stop enroute for refresment, and lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we take short transfer to bottom of Thung Khe pass, restarting to ride 34 km along the bank of Da River, you enjoy spectacular scenery dotted with Muong and Thai people villages under shaded trees, you are very impressive with little school boys and girls or buffalor, cowboy say “Hello” with you on the way back to their home. We take shortbreak for Kodak momment or refreshment before descent to Mai Chau village. Arriving Mai Chau at late afternoon, we cycle to Lac village for Homestay tonight. Taking shower, having dinner with traditional Thai food and enjoy Thai dance music performance. Stay at Thai homestay
Day 3: Mai Chau – Sam khoe village – Hang Village ( B,L,D)
The second day cycling trip offers for you the outstanding natural beauty of Mai Chau Valley dotted with Thai and Muong villages between rice terraces paddies. We start early to ride from Homestay on the mix single track paths links one village to another, you may observe How peaceful villages are in the morning! And How they living here for hundred years? You can find out your answer while we ride further in center of Villages, meet and talk with some local people on the way.We have lunch enroute in Sam Khoe village before riding back road to Hang Village . Overnight at Thai Homestay
Day 4: Hang village to Nua villages ( B,L,D)
Today is hard day with long climb on mix of dirt paths and single track trail lead to the top in the morning, you will be rewarded by breaktaking limestone moutain view and magnificient terraces rice paddies. We stop for refreshment on summit before descending to Pho Doan Market for lunch. After lunch, we take easy ride on mix tarmac road, buffalo trails, undershade of bamboo forest led lo Nua village. Upon arrival, we take shower and enjoying with cold beers and and soft drinks. Have dinner and sleep in Thai Hometay
Day 5: Nua Village – Pho Doan – Cam Luong – Cuc Phuong ( B,L.D)
After breakfast with the Host, Say good bye them, we start early to ride back road to Pho Doan, the township of Phu Luong Narture Reserver, if lucky, we can visit and take photo at colourful tribal market before crossing the bridge , we ride on corridor path of Nature Reserver , through sugarcane fields, corn farm dotted with Thai and Muong Tribes villages led to Cam Luong, we are rewarded by spectacular scenery, meeting friendly local villagers. We reach to Ho Chi Minh Trail at noon. Lunchmeal at local restaurant in Kim Tan town, Afterlunch, we continue to ride 45 km more on a mix of good single track and undulating paths . The view are stunning as the rider passes through villages and across rice paddies, sugerccane and cassava farms . Day 6: Cuc Phuong National Park – Thung Nham – Tram Chim ( B,L,D)
After breakfast, our minibus take us into the depth of forest. From the center of the Park, we will cycle along canopied forest trails and through primitive jungle – an exclusive, tourist – free route, all the way to
the gate of National park. Stop for refreshment, then we visit the Endangered primate Rescure Center. The day’s cycling continues onto Dong Giao – pineapple plantation where you can enjoy fresh pineapple from local farmers selling on sideroad. We ride out of plantation to Tamdiep Township, transfer to Tam Coc for
Lunch. After lunch, we ride through magnificient limestone mountains rise up majestically from the green rice paddies, streams to Tram Chim Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, we take relax or wander around to encounter different birds in here. Dinner and stay overnight in Resort
Day 7: Tram chim – Tam Coc – Thai Vi – Trang An – Hoa lu – NinhBinh – Transfer – Hai Phong
Breakfast in Resort, we start riding back road to Tam Coc from where we take two hours boat trip for exploring three grotto the first, the second and the third grotto links together with breaktaking scenery in open air. Then we ride through breaktaking natural beauty of Trang AN, Bai Dinh Temple, Kenh Ga Floating Villages.Having lunch in Kenh Ga before the van transfers three hours to Hai Phong. Upon arrival in Hai Phong, Check in hotel and relax by your own. Have dinner in local restaurant.
Day 8: Hai Phong – Dinh Vu – Viet Hai Fishing village – Cat Ba Island
After breakfast at Hotel, transfer to 30 minutes to Dinh Vu Seaport, upon arriving at cycling point, we commence to ride to Dinh Vu ferry Station and catch public ferry to Cat Hai Village, we cycle through Cat Hai, and Cai Vieng Village – one of traditional fishing village – and producing fish sauce villages. Arrving in Cat Ba Island, we continue riding on the Hilling road, challenge some passes, whereas you will be rewarded by outstanding natural scenery. Stop for lunch enroute, after lunch, we keep riding to Catba Town, Arriving Hotel, check in and take shower, exploring Cat Ba Township by our own. Or go to the beach swimming. Dinner at local restaurant and stay at Hung Long Hotel
Day 9: Cat Ba Island trek – Boat trip exploring Lan Ha Bay – Kayaking
The primeval forest and the tranquil town make Cat Ba Island one of Vietnam ‘s delightful places. We spend a halfday cycling in Cat Ba, visiting the national park, the central market and the fishing port.. Take boat trip to visit Lan Ha Bay, spend two hours Kayaking to explore the World Natural Heritage .Dinner and overnight in Nam Cat Resort
Day 10: Lan Ha Bay Fullday Kayaking
Today is a hard kayaking day. We start kayaks after breakfast, paddle to Me Cung cave (The Labyrinth Cave), which is imaged as its name that we must walk under a zigzag route to a garden at a top of a small mountain and enjoy the view of a lake inside a mountain bound. Return to our kayaks, we paddle to the dark cave. This area need a muscle arms and big effort for the strong current if we gain the water lines. However, it will be very much easy for flowing the current incase. Arriving the cave, depend on the water current and water level that be allowed to go inside this cave because of 300 hundred meters long in the dark tunnel open to a fairy lake in the mountain bound. Return the boat for lunch then boat to Three Peaches Beaches (Ba Trai Dao) for swimming or paddle around the area and go to difference beaches for swimming. Have dinner on the boat again. Anchor for overnight place: Ba Trai Dao. (5th night). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included) stay over night in Nam Cat Resort
Day 11: Lan Ha Bay – kayaking
Today we spend a day paddle kayaks to roam in Lan Ha Bay, the bay formed by Cat Ba archipelago islands. We learn the pearl farm and buy souvenirs from pearls. After lunch we paddle toward the reset of the bay and go to Nam Cat beach. The high lights of the trip is the best side of mountains which grow from the water are closer than mountain distance in Ha Long Bay. our boat take us back to wharf to catch the bus back to Cat Ba Town, Have dinner and stay in Cat Ba Town
Day 12: Cat Ba National Park – Halong – Hanoi
Today is the last day of cycling in Halong and Bai Tu long cycling trip, you have time to explore the daily life of local fishmen and experience interesting activities on the way back to Hanoi.We start cycling from Hotel follow the coast and hilly road lead to Cai Vieng Commune and Viet Hai fishsauce villges. We take two public ferries before landing on Hai Phong city.Arriving in Dinh Vu international sea Port, Have lunch in seafoods restaurant. After lunch time, we take short transfer out of bustling city and then cycle back to Hanoi via Hai Duong Province.Ariving in Hanoi late afternoon, do check in and have relax by yourself.Farewell dinner is arranged for your group. We like the versatility and durability of the mountain bike as it has been designed to cope with different types of terrain and riding. Our trips can be on asphalt and can often be broken or potholed, and there are usually unsurfaced sections included, so mountain bikes are the most suitable. They also have the range of gears to cope with the hills.
Each bike comes with a single water bottle cage, if you prefer more you are welcome to bring your own. Bikes also have gel seat cover slips if you prefer a softer ride. If you have your own saddle that you are comfortable with seat, you are welcome to bring it and we’ll fit it. On long tours women specific seats are recommended and we have some available, but we cannot guarantee we will available for every tour. These bikes also are available for rent in case you want to go it alone or just need a bike for a day.
Bikes repairs: basic spares and tools kid are generally carried by guide and on the support vehicle, although we cannot guarantee having spares for every conceivable problem. Carrying a basic tool kids, a spare tube and a pump while riding is recommended.

Safety: wearing a helmet is compulsory on all our biking adventures. Your tour guide are trained in first aid and emergency rescure, tour guide often carry first aid box with their bikes while riding

Accommodation: When cycling we stay in friendly hotel, guesthouse or homestays. Some are more basic than others! Bear in mind that some of the places we overnight in are not on the standard tourist trail.In larger cities and towns, our hotels are generally more western style and are three or four hotels or resort. Please do not expect the same standard as you would your home.
Our guides: the tour will be led by one of English – speaking guides. All our guides have great knowledge of history, local culture, and religions of the area where you are cycling and introduce that experiences for you. Our guides have been trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by Vietnam National Tourism. Our guides are also medically skilled in first Aid by SOS and they know how to deal with hard situations.\
Grading definition: To assist you visualize how our trip is difficult, we have graded our adventure tours into three categories, easy, moderate, and challenging, we group many factors into consideration into this grading, including distant covered, terrain, altitude, weather conditions and vehicle support
Easy: suitable for most people in good health. These trips generally include short days, on good paths and at low attitudes
Moderate: A reasonable level of fitness is required, as these trips can require sustained endurance levels, hill longer days and altitude. All of our moderate trips have a support vehicle following closely, and weary travellers can hitch a ride and take a rest for a while.
Challenging: these trips are physically demanding and best suited for fit people with high endurance level. Day can be longer, often at altitude, in remoted regions and sometimes without supports vehicle nearby.. travellers may be required to carry a backpacks.
Terrain: Distances on full cycling days average around 50 – 80km. Our route is mainly on tarmac roads of varying quality with are some more like hard – packed dirt, Terrain is generally flat or undulating with a few notable climbs.
Distance for second days and half of third day is around 60- 80 km. Our routes are mainly on single track, dirt road and trail, we cycle around villages and villages, through rice paddy terraces.
Food: All the meals which, are mentioned in itinerary, are included in the price of this tour. Most of meals are Vietnamese local food in Homestays. While in towns, we will enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in delicious restaurants
Meals consist of a variety of balanced dishes and aim for universal appeal, we avoid highly spiced foods.
Vegetarians are certainly welcome and are always accommodated, please let us know of any dietary concerns at time of booking.
Beverage and alcoholic drink are not included at mealtime or in restaurants
Snack/ Water: when we transfer, ride by minibus ( no cycling day), our bottled waters are always available for you ( two little for one day for person with wet tissue)
When we have cycling days, we will offer cold water and wet tissue in box plus fresh tropical fruits, soft – drink, energy – drinking, ( five little water for cycling day/ person).
Beer is freely available everywhere in Vietnam, but not include in our trip.
The Homestays: Homestay in the villages is simple interm of bedding condition and amenities. We will sleep on beds or floor with mattress, clean sheet, pillow and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually western style.
Weather: Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate. Broadly speaking, the weather in Vietnam is dictated by two seasons – the southwest monsoon from April to September and the Northeast monsoon from October to late march or early April.
Due to regional climate differences, there are no right or wrong seasons to visit Vietnam. The North Vietnam is cool, damp in winters between November and December and February with temperature in Hanoi falling to around 15oC. The summer months from April to October are hot and dry.the best time visit Vietnam is spring (February – April) or Autumn ( late September – December) when it is not so humid. The weather turns quite cold and wet in January and this continues to march. The humidity can prove oppressive from May to the early September.
Money: the official national currency is the Vietnamese Dong ( VND), but the US dollar is widely accepted in almost tourist centers. However, small towns and the villages the VND is preferred, ATM are available in all major cities and towns, tourist destinations, Vietcombank, Agriculture banks are the best networks with a limit a single withdraw limit of 2000,000 d ( 95 USD). Most major currencies can be exchanged in leading in Vietnam, but th USD is preferred away from the tourist centers. Changing 100 USD wil make you to be a millionaire. You cannot legally take the dong out of Vietnam but you can reconvert reasonable amounts of it into USD on departure,.
Clothing: comfortable lightweight clothing in natural fabrics such as cotton is most suitable for travelling in Vietnam. The dress code is fairly casual as it is in most parts of the tropics but it is advisable to cover arms and legs in the evening against biting insects. A light weight raincoat or rain cape is a good ideal in the raining season. For on the bike you will need to bring a couple of pairs of cycling shorts and short leeve jerseys, a pairs of cycling glove and if you use them, your clip in cycling shoes/ sandals.. when travel in the North Vietnam during winter months ( late November – March) warm clothe is needed. Visitors to Buddhist countries should not to wear shorts, short skirts or other skimpy clothing when visiting religious centers and shoes should be removed before entering private homes.
Passport and visa: All visitors are required to have a valid visa to enter Vietnam. A one month tourist visa is usually sufficient for most visitors, though it is possible to arrange three months or six month – multiple entry visa for regular visitors. The Travelo Vietnam company is authorized to issue visa on arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Danang International Airport in Danang, and Tan San Nhat in Ho chi Minh city.The same authorization procedure and a minimum mof 5 days working notice is required. In emergency case they can arrange a visa o arrival if notice of 2 working days is given
Tipping: Tipping for good services is always appreciated in these developing countries. It is customary, though not compulsory, to tip tour guides and drivers at the end of the tour. Hotels and station porters should also be tipped a small amount for . We recommend 5 US Dollar / person/per day for cycling tour guides.. 2 USD/ person/ day for driver and 1 USD/ person/ day for doorbell when checking in and out.
