Experience this wild region of Australia as you journey over 300 km’s from Port Fairy to Melbourne. Indulge yourself on a cycle tour that caters for moderate to advanced cyclist with optional cycling distances designed to suit each level of experience. This tour offers generous amounts of time for sight seeing and enjoying the attractions the Great Ocean Road offers. All sections of each day are optional, and there is no obligation to cycle each one, your support person will always be available to look after you.

DAY 1 Distance: 65 – 96 km    Altitude gain: 242 m

Port Fairy to Port Campbell – Ride pass the lake water of Belfast Lough teeming with
bird life. Then onto Logan’s Beach where the Southern Right whales give birth to their young using the bay as a nursery before migrating back to Antarctica. Arrive at your hotel, superbly situated with a stunning balcony outlook over the beach & harbour.

DAY 2
Distance: 73 – 103 km    Altitude gain: 1228 m
Port Campbell to Apollo Bay – Experience an exhilarating section of riding as you cycle
along the Shipwreck coast before entering the magnificent Otway National Park. Pedal your way past the tops of the limestone craggy stacks sticking out above the cliffs on route to the famous 12 Apostles.

DAY 3
Distance: 93km    Altitude gain: 704 m
Apollo Bay to Torquay – Awake to the sound of surf pounding on the sandy shore before getting back on the bike and rolling out back along the Great Ocean Road. Hug the coastline all the way to Anglesea before heading inland to Torquay.

DAY 4 Distance: 70 -118 km    Altitude gain: 15 m
Torquay to St Kilda – Commence the day through flat and rural landscapes with farmsteads lost in a sea of parched grassland scorched by the summer heat. Then roll through Black Rock, Sandringham, Hampton & Brighton before reaching the outskirts of Melbourne.

Margaret River

The stella Margaret River, famous for it’s wine is also a paradise of surf beaches, tall karri forests, underground caves and bush tracks. Wonderful wine and food embellish the vineyards which commonly extend out to meet world-class waves throughout seventy five beaches. Swim in the crystal-clear waters of Prevally, catch a glimpse of the passing whales and explore caves at Cape Leeuwin. Yallingup to Cowaramu ~ Commene your journey through the valleys of the Margaret River region. Absorb yourself into the unique landscape’s as you cycle along the rolling hills, stopping off at famous wineries, breweries, galleries and even a chocolate factory. Winery stops: Vasse Felix and Cullens Wines.

DAY 2 Distance: 53 km

Cowaramup to Margaret River ~ Enjoy a relaxed days riding through Marri forest. Stop for lunch at the delicious Berry Farm and then make your way to the character infused town of Margaret River. Winery stops: Brookwood Estate

DAY 3 Distance: 20 km

Margaret River to Prevelly return – Ride the paved cycle path out to the coastal town of Prevelly. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch over looking the western coastline and if your heart desires spend some time sunbathing on the beach. Winery stops: Winery Mentelle.

DAY 4 Distance: 66 km

Margaret River to Augusta – The last day’s ride descends down the coast towards the peninsula town of Augusta. Enjoy a unique section of riding through dense karri forest on a remote back road. Byron Bay to Brunswick – Feel enriched as with the warmth of the morning sun on your back as you enjoy a peaceful ride over gentle rolling hills heading into the hinterland. Saturate yourself in the rich and vibrant culture of Australia’s biggest small town: Mullumbimby.

DAY 4
Distance: 41 km Altitude gain: 156 m
Brunswick to Kingscliff – Relax into an easy days ride along cycle paths and old coastal roads • Feel the sea breeze and enjoy the journey to Kingscliff where trendy beachfront coffee shops await you along the way. View the famous Mount Warning, surrounded by the vast World Heritage listed central eastern rain forests of Australia.

The Barossa Valley Wine Tour

DAY 3
Distance: 39 km Altitude gain: 254
Springton to Tanunda – Enjoy the picturesque scenery and infinite views as you ride into the epicenter of the Barossa Valley. Today’s ride includes parts of the world famous tour down under cycling race.
